Veterans Serving Veterans – Coastal Automotive Joins Habitat for Humanity Project

West Michigan-based Coastal Automotive participated in a recent Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity project. Veterans from local organizations assisted with the building of a new home in the Vista Green subdivision for a Holland veteran. Coastal veteran employees helped to frame the house and the company sponsored the project at the “Brick Layer Sponsor” level.

“It was great to contribute both time and resources to this project, and our veterans jumped at the opportunity to help one of their own,” expressed Toby Curry, Coastal Automotive’s director of operations.

According to Dave Rozman, Habitat’s senior development director, over 80 area veterans signed up to assist with the project, and interest in affordable housing for veterans continues to grow. The program’s plans for 2022 include 10 to 15 new builds, with over 500 interest forms from potential homeowners submitted.

Coastal Automotive is dedicated to supporting the development of the communities where we live and work.
