Coastal Automotive earned the 2018 General Motors Supplier Quality Excellence Award for the third year in a row. The company received the award during ceremonies in both Rochester Hills and the Holland Headquarters.
General Motors has recognized suppliers with the Quality Excellence Award since 2012. The award recognizes suppliers for meeting 13 different criteria including efficient manufacturing practices, positive customer satisfaction, dependable delivery times and more.
There are currently 4,312 supplier locations across the United States that General Motors utilizes. Of those suppliers, less than 10 percent received the Supplier Quality Excellence Award this year.
“Winning this award takes a collaborative effort of our entire company,” said Jim Zimmerman, Quality Manager for Coastal Automotive. “Our team works hard to put systems and processes in place that set our team up for company-wide success.”
Along with earning the GM Supplier Quality Excellence Award in 2016, 2017 and 2018, Coastal received their third GM Supplier of the Year Award earlier this year.
