Job Description
Purpose of the job
The Materials Technician will follow a designated route throughout the manufacturing area and support the needs of the work areas. Support the production lines with component materials in a safe, timely and orderly manner. Participate in daily shipping and receiving activities such as building orders, inventory management, loading and unloading trucks.
Quarterly Bonus Program
All direct hire employees will be eligible to participate in our new quarterly bonus system. The bonus will be paid out at the end of the quarter to all employees that are still enrolled and on payroll at the time of payout. The bonus will be calculated by hours worked during the quarter and will be an additional $1 for every hour worked. For example, if you work 500 hours this quarter, your bonus will be $500. Overtime hours and PTO will be included.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Line Support: Uses pallet jack to bring raw materials to production lines. Ensures product supply never runs low and communicates with production team, ensuring their needs are met.
Order Pulling: Builds outgoing orders according to customer needs. Cross checks product pulled from shelves verses order sheet. Ensures labels on product are accurate and prepared to ship out. Uses hilo and shrink wrap machines to construct the orders and stage them for pickup.
Finished Goods: Uses a pallet jack to bring finished product from the production floor into the warehouse. Safely puts finished good product in proper location in Finished Goods racking. Properly scans product to the correct location and reports if product is found out of place.
Product Inspections: Completes incoming inspections to confirm conformance and reconciliation of receiving/purchase documentation. Must report all defective materials or questionable conditions to the Shipping & Receiving Manager.
ERP management: Completes daily receiving entries into Plex system and distributes paperwork as appropriate.
Inventory control: Manages raw material and finished goods inventories, including maintenance and cleaning of inventory areas in the warehouse, inventory organization and racking, inventory cycle counting and reporting.
Maintain supply of shipping materials: Responsible for maintaining an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand such as shrink wrap, labels, etc.
Trucking: Loads and unloads delivery trucks with appropriate product. Ensures proper product placement with hilo or pallet jack. Communicates appropriately and effectively with drivers that enter the facility.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.50 – $20.75 per hour
