About the Opportunity
This is a terrific opportunity in a mid-sized, growing Automotive manufacturing company. The ideal HR candidate will be energetic, organized and excited to support Coastal’s growth and company culture initiatives. We are a two-shift operation with first and third shift. There are around 120 employees at our Holland facility, which is where this role will be located.

Essential Job Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition
- Develop relationships with local recruiters and staffing agencies to ensure a supply of qualified candidates.
- Screen and qualify potential candidates from online job boards, career fairs, Michigan Works, and other sources.
- Conduct behavioral interviews and leverage a variety of employment assessments to ensure well-qualified candidates are presented to the hiring manager.
- Coordinate all pre-employment activities to ensure standards are maintained and employees’ on-boarding experiences are free from worry or anxiety.
Training and Development
- Work with management and peers to ensure a robust system for clarifying individual and team performance expectations, ensuring timely feedback and ongoing improvement plans are carried out.
Compensation and Rewards
- Administer the Company’s compensation management systems to ensure transparency of process, individual understanding and fair-handed application.
Culture
- Model the company values and coach others when their behavior contradicts our cultural expectations.
- Teach Managers how to effectively apply our people values, policies and procedures.
Health and Safety
- Work with management and peers to create a safety culture through education, effective coaching, an active safety committee and continuous improvement.
- Maintain OSHA logs and calculated OHSA incident rate monthly.
- Administer and monitor employee leave programs including Workers’ Compensation, FMLA, STD, LTD and PTO. Provide expert guidance to the application and coordination of leave plans.
Employee Relations
- Develop productive relationships with all employees on site. Solicit regular feedback on the employment experience and champion efforts to continuously improve.

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
