Coastal Automotive Hires Regional Manager for Mexico

Coastal Automotive has hired Luis Olmos González as regional manager for the Mexico region to better serve OEM and Tier 1 suppliers. In this role, Olmos will provide engineering support with Coastal Automotive’s passive safety products. Olmos is Coastal Automotive’s first hire in Mexico as a part of the company’s strategic global expansion.

“Coastal Automotive is an agile company with potential to make a worldwide impact in the automotive industry,” Olmos said.

Olmos attended the National University of Mexico (UNAM) where he earned his bachelor’s in mechanical engineering and a master’s in automatic control and robotics.

He brings to Coastal Automotive 16 years of experience in the automotive engineering industry. Olmos served at General Motors on the computer aided engineering (CAE) and performance safety team and at Ford on the Body CAE team.

Olmos’ hire advances Coastal Automotive’s global expansion plan to better serve their OEM and Tier 1 suppliers in Mexico, Europe and Asia. Olmos is from Mexico City, Mexico and will serve clients throughout the entire world.
