Purpose of the Job
Troubleshoot and adjust manufacturing equipment using a combination of electronic, mechanical, and digital technologies to resolve manufacturing problems and improve equipment capability.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Controls Troubleshooting: Diagnose equipment problems and takes immediate action to reset, restart or adjust when vision and saw programs error, fault or produce defective parts.
8-D Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement: Work with manufacturing, quality and engineering team members to identify root causes to problems, implement solutions and prevent recurrence. Working cross-functionally, identify continuous improvement opportunities and implement improvements.
PLC/Ladder Logic: Diagnose PLC problems and opportunities to improve efficacy. Routinely monitors product quality and machine efficiency.
Vision Detection: Adjust machines and programs as needed to ensure quality products and throughput efficiencies are achieved.
Equipment Validation: Assists engineering and maintenance team members with the installation and validation of new equipment.
Preventive Maintenance: Perform equipment preventive maintenance activities according to PM schedule. Maintain accurate PM records.
Work Standards: Works with maintenance and engineering team members to update work standards related to preventive maintenance and operator PMs as needed.
Training: Teach manufacturing team members to properly repair and troubleshoot routine equipment malfunctions according established standards.
Data Log: Maintain equipment maintenance logs. Measure and record data associated with equipment. Recognize trends and recurring problems requiring corrective action.
Safety: Models safe work practices including following standard setup and lock out tag out procedures.
